i don't know if the tail is too long (it looks very long, but that could be the design of the pokemon?) but one thing that would help is to vary the width, just slightly. Do you have a cat or any cats nearby your house? If so, look at their tails. The tail is generally a bit thicker at the very base, and tapers into a little point at the end. Try and emulate that when you draw a long tail, as the same thing applies to mose animals. also, try to match the position of the tail to what the body is doing. watch real animals for ideas. tails are generally used for balance and i know a cat walking along would have its tail either straight up in the air, or stretched out behind it. you drew the tail going over the back, that's not gonna help the animal's balance, if anything its gonna cause them problems. try and think like an animal... if YOU had a tail, what would you do with it?
